Dr. Ashley Rose Scholl Wins Pathologist-in-Training Travel Award

Ashley Rose Scholl, M.D., MSc, PGY-1, was selected to attend USCAP’s 2022 Annual Meeting with a Pathologist-in-Training Travel Award, for her project with Dr. Rami Al-Rohil, an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Duke: MALDI Imaging Mass Spectrometry Differentiates Basal Cell Carcinoma from Trichoblastoma and Trichoepithelioma.  

New ACGME Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship

Thomas J. Cummings, MD, Professor of Pathology and Ophthalmology, and Residency Program Director, is pleased to announce our ACGME Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship (MGP)  request has been approved and accredited for 1 fellow/year.

Cummings Elected to APC PRODS Council

Thomas J. Cummings, MD, Professor of Pathology and Ophthalmology, and Residency Program Director, was elected Member-At-Large (2021-2023, 1st Term) to the Association of Pathology Chairs Residency Program Directors Section Council.

Foundation Medicine Creates Molecular Pathology Rotation

Thomas J. Cummings, MD, Professor of Pathology and Ophthalmology, and Residency Program Director, is pleased to announce a 10-year agreement has been reached with Foundation Medicine for residents to do a molecular pathology rotation at the Research Triangle Park laboratory campus beginning July 1, 2021.
