Cummings Lectures about Eye Cancer at EOPS Annual Meeting

Thomas J. Cummings, MD, professor of Pathology and Ophthalmology and Residency Program director, lectured at the Eastern Ophthalmic Pathology Society (EOPS) annual meeting held at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, Oct. 12th-14th. Cummings spoke about ocular rhabdomyosarcoma, and also served as moderator for a session of unknown case presentations.

EOPS is an international society of ophthalmic pathologists, and Cummings has been a member since 2002.

In June 2023, Cummings lectured at the 12th Joint European Ophthalmic Pathology Society (EOPS) and Verhoeff-Zimmerman Society meeting held in Liverpool, England, about ocular findings in retinal vasculitis, autoimmunity and immunodeficiency. The Verhoeff-Zimmerman Society was formed to create a forum to discuss ophthalmic pathology. It is one of the oldest subspecialty groups in ophthalmology, with a history of 39 years.
