Christopher Pirozzi, PhD, a Medical Instructor in the laboratory of Dr. Hai Yan, has received a Department of Defense Idea Award with Special Focus for his proposal entitled “Modulating Th17 Cells in IDH1-Mutant Gliomas to Promote Antitumor Immunity.”

The North Carolina Lung Cancer Initiative has awarded Carolyn Glass, MD PhD for her project titled “Identifying Epigenetic Biomarkers that Predict Response to Immunotherapy in Lung Cancer Patients” as part of the 2020 Research Fellows Program.

Graduate student Yuanfan Yang, MD is using his voice to help the world health crisis, and had this letter published in the Journal of Neurosurgery.  Dr. Yang explains:

Ming Chen, PhD has recently received an Idea Development Award from the Department of Defence (DoD) Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) for his grant titled “De Novo Lipogenesis and Chemosensitivity of Prostate Cancer.”
