Fengming Chen, MD, PhD, has joined Duke Pathology as Assistant Professor, primarily practicing in GI and liver pathology. Chen graduated from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, with additional training in internal medicine and clinical gastroenterology.
Then, she earned a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. After that, Chen worked as a research fellow at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Penn State University. She completed an AP/CP Residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Emory University and a GI/Liver Pathology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Chen’s academic interests include clinical and translational research related to the gastrointestinal system, liver, and pancreas.
