Emily Hatheway Marshall, MS4, has received an American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Medical Student Award. It honors medical students who have demonstrated a strong interest in the field of pathology and displayed excellence in academic achievements and leadership during their medical school journey.
“I’m honored to receive this award from the ASCP! I’m grateful for the wonderful mentorship that I have at Duke, especially Dr. Andrea Deyrup and Dr. Sara Jiang, who continually encourage and support me,” she said.
ASCAP will send Hatheway Marshall a certificate, a $100 Visa gift card, and a copy of the Quick Compendium of Clinical Pathology, 4th Edition.
“On behalf of the ASCP, I congratulate you on your accomplishments and wish you continued professional success in the future,” wrote Hannah Wang, MD, FASCP, Chair, ASCP Resident Council. “Should you consider specializing in pathology, I assure you a warm welcome to our profession from the entire membership of the ASCP.”
