The bone and soft tissue division of the department of pathology handles tumor and non-tumor conditions that affect soft tissues, such muscle, tendons, ligaments, fat, fibrous tissue, vessels, and synovium, and bones.

Examples of non-tumor conditions would include, but are not limited to, inflammatory, rheumatologic and degenerative pathology.  These tissue types can also be involved by a variety of (benign and malignant) tumors. Our division works closely with the multidisciplinary team, which includes radiology, orthopedic and general surgery, oncology and radiation oncology, in our evaluations and diagnoses.

Our division does provide consultative services for lesions involving bone and soft tissue. In order for us to provide your patient the best possible service, we respectfully request that any and all pertinent clinical information, including imaging studies as available, be provided at the time of the consultation request.
