Dr. Qianben Wang Appointed as Co-Editor-In-Chief of New Serican Journal of Medicine

The Serican Journal of Medicine (SJM) has appointed Banks Anderson Sr. Distinguished Professor of Pathology Qianben Wang, PhD, and Jindan Yu, MD, PhD, Fray F. Marshall Chair in Biomedical Urologic Research and professor at Emory University, as co-editors-in-chief.

The Serican Academy of Urology Foundation launched SJM on Nov. 2, 2024. The publication serves as a global platform for sharing advancements across medical sciences, spanning basic and clinical research. University of Kansas Professor of Urologic Surgery Benyi Li, MD, PhD, will oversee the Editorial Office as director.

Duke Pathology will have three other representatives on the SJM editorial team. Johnston-West Endowed Chair of Pathology Jiaoti Huang, MD, PhD, will join as a member of the Executive Board, while Associate Professor Ming Chen, PhD, and Assistant Professor Ling Cai, PhD, will serve as a section editor and Editorial Board member, respectively. The journal welcomes submissions and invites colleagues from the Department to volunteer for roles on the editorial team.

In addition to covering various aspects of research, the SJM presents clinical trials, surgical techniques, instrumental innovations, multi-disciplinary treatment for human diseases, public health concerns, state-of-the-art reviews, case reports, editorial comments, and clinical guidelines. The publication is free for its authors, and processing charges are waived for articles accepted for publication.
