Pathology Department Chair Jiaoti Huang, MD, PhD, was invited to visit University of California, San Diego (UCSD), on March 20th, 2023. During the visit, Huang gave an unknown slide conference to the residents and fellows in their Pathology Department, in which they studied difficult case slides and came up with diagnoses. He also met with clinical and research faculty to discuss collaborations. Finally, he gave a talk titled “Cellular Heterogeneity of Prostate Cancer in Therapy Resistance and Disease Progression,” in which he discussed how different populations of prostate cancer cells respond differently to hormonal therapy and how to target them simultaneously to achieve better therapeutic outcome.
Huang frequently is invited to present around the country, and internationally. Most recently he gave a lecture at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the highest ranked cancer center in the country. Read more about that lecture here. In December 2022, Huang presented at the Frontiers in Cancer Science Conference (FCS) in Singapore at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.
