Professor Raj C. Dash, MD, FCAP, is one of four individuals elected to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) 2025 Board of Governors. He will take office at the CAP Annual Meeting on Sat., Sept. 13, 2025, and Qihui "Jim" Zhai, MD, FCAP, of the Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Shreveport, LA, will be sworn in as the 39th President of CAP.
The meeting will also include recognition of outgoing board members, the State of the CAP report, the President’s Address, and other business. All members are invited to attend.
Dash serves as vice chair of anatomic pathology and informatics. In addition to pathology, his background includes computer science. He is passionate about bringing a combination of technical expertise and clinical knowledge to members and staff. His unique knowledge and expertise enable him to advocate for the optimal tools and resources that pathologists need in today’s digital world. He continues to position pathologists in leadership roles in the delivery of better and safer patient care.
In 2021, CAP honored Dash with its Distinguished Service Award for his long-standing contributions to patient care and the advancement of pathology, as well as in recognition of his dedicated service to the CAP for more than 25 years.
