Xiaoyin "Sara" Jiang, MD, FCAP, was invited to be a part of the faculty at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) course, “From the Internet to In-Person: Surgical Pathology Cases from Six Social Media Educators,” The event was held at the USCAP Interactive Center in Palm Springs, California, from Feb. 5-8, 2024.
Jiang gave two sessions titled “Thyroid Cyto-Histo-Molecular Correlation,” and “#PathPitfalls in Head, Neck, and Endocrine.” The courses provided an overview of challenging surgical pathology topics in an interactive case-based format, with attendees coming from across the country and across the world.
In addition to being offered live, these sessions were recorded and will be available on various USCAP platforms.

Jiang is frequently invited to share her expertise at conferences around the world. In January 2024, she was an invited lecturer at the Philippines Society of Pathologists’ (PSP) 2024 Updates in Surgical Pathology meeting. In October, 2023, she co-chaired a session titled “Social Media for the Social Thyroidologist" at the American Thyroid Association's (ATA) Centennial Meeting in Washington, DC. In July 2023, she delivered a keynote presentation at 47th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology in Brisbane, Australia, and was the special guest at its inaugural Women in Pathology Dinner, where she signed copies of her textbook, the Survival Guide to Cytopathology.
USCAP provides continuing medical education and translational research to improve practices and patient outcomes globally.
