Grace Kwon, MD, PhD, PGY3, presented a poster at the Association of Molecular Pathology (AMP) Europe meeting in Madrid, Spain from June 24-26, 2024.
Her poster was titled “Utilization of an In-House Solid Tumor Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Fusion Panel: A One-Year Institutional Experience with a Focus on the Diagnosis of Soft Tissue Tumors.” In her presentation, she described how the solid tumor fusion NGS panel offered by Duke Health’s Clinical Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory has been utilized since its implementation, focusing on the accurate diagnosis of soft tissue tumors. Assistant Professor of Pathology William Jeck, MD, PhD, was senior author on the poster.
Kwon also received the AMP Young Investigator Travel Award, which provides financial support to attend the meeting. Criteria for selection included abstract quality and previous accomplishments.
AMP is a leading organization in the field of molecular diagnostics, and its Europe Congress is a premier meeting of molecular professionals around the globe. Over 300 attendees from 37 countries were present at the meeting. Attendees explored how cutting-edge technology and developments in molecular testing and diagnostics continue to have a major impact on patient care.
