Monday June 12th was an exciting evening of camaraderie and celebration as we feted our graduating residents and fellows at the Washington Duke Inn. Five named awards were presented and all seven residents and six fellows who will move into the next stages of their careers were acknowledged. A special feature of the evening was a keynote speech by alumnus and previous faculty member Fred Sanfilippo, MD PhD, who also presented the first of the Fred and Janet Sanfilippo Resident Research Awards.
