Laura Barisoni, MD, professor of Pathology and Medicine, director of the Renal Pathology Service and co-director of the division of AI and Computational Pathology, presented at the World Congress of Nephrology (WCN) in Bangkok, Thailand, March 30th to April 2nd, 2023. She gave a lecture titled “Advances in Clinical Pathology,” during the “Perspective in CDK Diagnostic Tools” session.
WCN is the annual scientific, educational, and networking meeting of the International Society of Nephrology. It features regionally-relevant symposia, presentations, training programs, and courses, offering the latest science and state-of-the-art education in nephrology.
Barisoni recently co-authored paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine on March 16, 2023, on proteinuric kidney disease treatment titled ““Inaxaplin for Proteinuric Kidney Disease in Persons with Two APOL1 Variants.” Read more about the paper and findings here.
