Career Goals: I would like to start my career as a pathologists’ assistant in an academic hospital with a variety of complex surgical specimens. Eventually I think it would be nice to take on the additional responsibility of helping to educate pathology residents and Path A students.

Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy reading (my favorite genre is sci-fi!), knitting, and spending time outdoors.

Why Duke: When researching Path A schools I was looking for well-established programs with a small class size and local rotations. During my interview process with Duke, I was very impressed with how welcoming my interviewers were and how invested they seemed in the success of students in the program. I believe that this program has the faculty and resources to shape me into the best Path A I could be.

Why Durham: Having spent my entire life in the Midwest I was ready for a change in scenery, and Durham has a wide variety of dining and entertainment options as well as access to beautiful natural scenery.
