Hometown: Hortonville, Wisconsin

College: University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

Research: I am currently interested in neuroimmunology but am easily excited about a wide variety of research fields.

Career Goals: I’d love to pursue a career in academia as a professor; however, I am open to exploring a career in industry.

Hobbies: Outside of lab, you can find me hiking, camping, rock climbing, visiting a local brewery, or chilling with my lovely cat named Basil.

Why Duke: I was drawn to Duke not only for its robust research environment but also for its collaborative and supportive nature. It offers the highest quality of resources, facilities, and faculty – all making it a great place to complete my doctorate!

Why Durham: Durham is wonderful because of the ample activities, places to try amazing food, proximity to RTP and Raleigh, and great people. It is in the perfect location where a day trip to the mountains or the beach is possible! There are also wonderful places right in Durham to be out in nature – whether it is at Eno River State Park or at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens!
