Contact Information:

Hometown: Livingston, Tennessee
College: Tennessee Technological University
Medical School: East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine
Fellowship Plans: Undecided - I like everything, but I'm very interested in cytopathology and transfusion medicine!
Career Goals: As of right now, I am leaning toward community practice, but I could see myself being swayed toward academics. We'll see!
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy both playing and listening to music, eating junk food, playing video games, easy hikes/bike rides, chilling with my cat & husband, and casually learning languages on DuoLingo.
Why Duke: Duke was my favorite program for several reasons! The reputation of the pathology program is excellent, it is in a great location for young families, and I had such positive interactions with residents and faculty during my interviews. Everyone seemed so friendly, and all said they would choose Duke again if given the choice. The pretty campus doesn't hurt either!
Why Durham: For me, Durham is the perfect not-too-big-not-too-small city. As someone who grew up in smaller towns, I have no trouble feeling at home! The Durham-Raleigh area is also gorgeous. You have access to so much, from the great outdoors to the city and even to the beach! Anyone can find their niche here.
