Fellowship Plans: Possibly hematopathology or dermatopathology, but I'm largely undecided and excited to explore different subspecialties! 

Career Goals: Ideally, academia! I am very interested in medical education, and I love teaching!

Hobbies and Interests: So many, it's hard to choose! I love photography, video games, reading, writing, painting, and being outdoors with my husband and our two dogs! 

Why Duke: My interview day was filled with wonderful people! I left my interviews feeling like I had met future mentors, and all the residents had great camaraderie as well. There was such a sense of passion and excitement for pathology that mirrored and further inspired my own. Also, as someone interested in medical education, the ample opportunities to teach medical students and grow into a strong educator greatly appealed to me! 

Why Durham: To me, what really stood out was the vibrant art scene and the proximity to nature. It is close to the ocean as well as the mountains, and you really can't beat that. I'm also looking forward to having the seasons!
