Career Goals: I want to end up practicing neuropathology, ophthalmic pathology, and autopsy pathology in a place where I can see interesting cases and can teach my peers, as well as other learners.
Hobbies and Interests: I collect old United States coins and enjoy playing games like Magic the Gathering and Twilight Imperium.
Why Duke: For neuropathology, Duke’s fellowship is incredibly well rounded with an incredibly high volume of everything. I want to be a well-rounded neuropathologist who can do everything within my scope and Duke is certainly preparing me for that.
Why Durham: Moving to Durham was an opportunity for me to live outside the Midwest for the first time in my life. I like that it is smaller than most big cities, but has everything I could possibly think of needing between Durham and the rest of the Triangle.
