Career Goals: I am fascinated by both surgical and autopsy pathology and would love to have a job that allowed me to explore both sides of the profession. I am also passionate about both teaching and leading, so long-term I would love to be involved in educating future PA students someday!

Hobbies and Interests: Reading, working out, crafting (I scrap-booked my senior year of college!), live music, rock climbing, hiking, or making a sandwich to eat on my porch!

Why Duke: As soon as I found out about the role of a Pathologists' Assistant at 18, I knew I had to follow this path, and I started looking at potential programs. When I found out that Duke was one of the options, I immediately made a vision board on Canva and made it my goal to be accepted to the program. I instantly fell in love with the academic atmosphere, med-school curriculum, small cohort size, and everyone's contagious love for this school. During my interviews, the attitude of mentorship and excitement was strong, making me feel so comfortable and confident!

Why Durham: Having family that has lived in Durham for a long time, I grew up periodically visiting the city. I've always loved the community feel and opportunities for good food, live music, green spaces, and more. My whole family is very tight-knit, all living in the Southeast, so it was crucial for me to attend a program close to home- the location is perfect for me!
