Why Duke: I was blown away on my interview day with Duke, and the program became my top choice for many reasons. Duke offers the perfect combination of reputation, superior training quality and supportive culture that will be essential for my success as a resident. Furthermore, a major highlight for me was seeing how genuinely happy the current residents are with their training and work/life balance, which speaks volumes about the program.
Why Durham: After spending the last eight years in states known for their cold and long winters, Durham offers me the chance to experience warmer weather which I prefer. Durham also has a very reasonable cost of living, an amazing food scene, and plenty of surrounding natural attractions to explore!
