Why Duke: Duke Hospital has a well-earned reputation as one of the top hospital systems. The variety of cases, comprehensive genetic testing offered, passionate faculty and staff, and opportunities to do research and get hands on experience in a busy clinical lab have made my experience as a fellow fantastic.
Why Durham: Durham has a great balance of benefits of a larger city (incredible restaurants, shops, international airport) while still feeling a sense of community you might find in a smaller town. Durham is a progressive and diverse city, with a rich history of activism and social justice.
