College: The University of Tampa
Career Goals: I am interested in pursuing a career in a surgical pathology lab, where I hope to work with a diverse range of surgical specimens. I look forward to exploring the many practice settings available within the clinical rotation year. Long term, I aspire to contribute to the education and mentorship of future Pathologists' Assistants through teaching.
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle through strength training, yoga, pilates, and hiking. I also love reading, going to concerts, playing The Sims 4, and spending time with my cat, Leia.
Why Duke: Duke felt like the right fit from my interview, thanks to the welcoming faculty and students. I was drawn to the small class size, clinical rotations within and around Durham, and the strong support system that complements the program's academic rigor.
Why Durham: Having family in nearby Raleigh made Durham an especially appealing place to live. I have always wanted to experience life in North Carolina, and the area's vibrant community and abundant parks and trails have made it an ideal place to call home while pursuing my education.
