Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy traveling, hiking, surfing, yoga, and reading. I also love tea (matcha, chai, Earl Grey, etc.) and look forward to exploring Durham’s café scene!

Why Duke: I was drawn to Duke because of the strong academic environment which offers high volume and complex cases, research opportunities, in-house fellowships, and more, while maintaining a supportive environment. During my interview day, I appreciated how invested the faculty and residents were in getting to know me personally and professionally.

Why Durham: I’ve always loved exploring new places, and I’m excited to experience Durham’s culture, arts, food, and local community. After living in Hawaii and California, I’m also looking forward to being somewhere with access to both the mountains and the coast, with the added benefit of seasons!
