Why Duke: Duke offers a superb training program at a world-class academic institution that prepares residents well for any career in the field. However, what stood out to me most about the program was how friendly and down-to-earth the faculty and residents were.
Why Durham: Durham and the Research Triangle offer so much in terms of food and entertainment options with a reasonable cost-of-living. Coming from the Northeast, the warmer weather is also definitely a great perk.
