Zoe Loh Awarded Bass Fellowship

Zoe Loh, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Pathology, has been awarded the Bass Instructor of Record Fellowship. The Bass Fellowship supports high-quality teaching experiences for PhD students where normal means of funding are unavailable. The fellowship provides a funded, semester-long teaching opportunity for the PhD student to be the primary instructor of record for a self-designed course. Zoe is currently pursuing her PhD research in the laboratory of Dr. Ming Chen, where she studies the metabolic regulation by PTEN in different subcellular compartments. Zoe plans to teach in Spring 2022 in the Department of Biology. After completion of her PhD, she hopes to continue in a role that will allow her to pursue her passion as both a researcher and a teacher.
