We are pleased to welcome Eric Carlsen, MD PhD to the Duke Department of Pathology! Dr. Carlsen earned his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where his research focused on leishmania. His AP/CP pathology residency was at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he also completed a fellowship in hematopathology. Dr. Carlsen will be joining us as an Assistant Professor in our division of hematopathology, where he will also be helping to direct the hematology laboratories.
