Scazzero Wins AAPA Travel Grant

Ann Marie Scazzero, second-year Pathologists' Assistant student, won the Student Non-Delegate Travel Grant through the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA) with her manuscript titled, “Hypopharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Treated by a Total Laryngopharyngectomy: An Unusual Case of an Unusual Tumor.”  This travel grant is awarded to one upcoming second-year PA student nationwide, and is valued at up to $1600 to apply to an AAPA meeting. Ms. Scazzero will be attending the Fall Conference in Seattle, Washington from October 31-November 4, 2021 and her manuscript will also be featured in Issue 4 of The Cutting Edge journal to be released on December 1.

The winner of the 2017 grant was also a Duke PA student, Robert Bauer.
