I am pleased to announce that Pamela Harris has been promoted to Director of Administrative Operations and will have oversight of Operations, Faculty Affairs and Human Resources for the Department of Pathology effective April 1st, 2021.
Pam has been at Duke for over 20 years, with 18 of these in Pathology. Pam’s experience with Pathology includes grants administration, and both program and personnel management. In addition to her experience at Duke, Pam’s prior experience includes executive leadership, grant, financial, business and program management in academic settings, as well as with Fortune 500 companies. She holds dual graduate degrees: an MSL and an MBA, with a concentration in Management and Organizational Leadership.
In addition to Pam’s many accomplishments and contributions, she also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Pathology. Her experience in business management and human resources have been instrumental in fostering a cohesive and productive work environment.
