Jiang is New Chief of Head and Neck Service

I am very pleased to announce that Xiaoyin “Sara” Jiang, MD, FCAP, has been appointed Chief of the Head and Neck Pathology Service.

Dr. Jiang is a talented and accomplished head and neck pathologist and cytopathologist who has published and lectured nationally and internationally on head and neck topics with a focus on thyroid neoplasia. She is active in leadership within national organizations including the USCAP, ATA, CAP, and ASC. Her national reputation in both research and medical education has been recognized with awards such as the ASCP 2017 “40 under 40” Top Five, Duke Pathology’s Pizzo Faculty Research Mentor Award, the Pathologist Magazine’s “Power List”, and the 2019 CAP Resident Advocate Award.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Jiang. We would also like to thank Dr. Danielle Range for having devoted tremendous amount of time and effort in running the service. We are pleased that Dr. Range will be able to focus on her roles as Associate Director of Cytopathology and represent our department in the Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC) .
