Professor of Pathology and Residency Program Director Thomas J. Cummings, MD, participated in the Association of Pathology Chairs Program Director Section (APC PRODS) Virtual Bootcamp on May 2nd, 2024, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. He presented “A Year in the Life of a Program Director” and also hosted a breakout room titled “How to Deal with Challenging Situations.” The event was well attended and provided an opportunity to welcome new program directors and provide information to them.
In April 2024, Cummings served as host and moderator for APC PRODS Spring Virtual Meeting. In July 2023, he was selected to serve as the organization’s vice chair for the 2023-2024 academic year. APC PRODS provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, makes recommendations concerning rules governing content and management of resident training to the Residency Review Committee and American Board of Pathology, and participates in programs that facilitate the continued development and enhancement of Pathology training programs.
