The week of April 6-8, 2022, Elizabeth Pavlisko, MD, presented virtually at the American Society of Transplantation’s (AST) Cutting Edge of Transplantation’s (CEoT) Transplant Summit 2022: Defining success in organ transplantation meeting. Her talk, titled “The Pathologist: Acute and Chronic Rejection: Are these the whole story?” was part of the session titled "Pathway to Success: Overcoming Rejection (Lung)."
The CEoT 2022 transplant summit was an exploration of primary stakeholders in organ transplantation coming together to 1) define ideal metrics to drive transplant access and outcomes and 2) discuss the key challenges that the transplant field must overcome to develop and implement these metrics in clinical practice. During "Pathway to Success: Overcoming Rejection," Dr. Pavlisko joined colleagues from across North America to discuss opportunities and barriers for treatment, and prevention, of rejection.
