Carolyn Glass, MD, PhD, gave a presentation titled “Common Cardiovascular Findings in Autopsy Pathology” at a recent educational symposium focused on autopsy pathology sponsored by the Department of Pathology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. In her lecture, Glass described the common cardiac causes of death by gross and microscopic examination, outlined adjunct tests used for autopsy cardiac diagnosis and reviewed commonly reported cardiovascular findings related to COVID-19 deaths.
Glass is a particular fan of St. Louis, because it gives her an opportunity to watch her nephew, Tommy Edman (No. 19), Major League Baseball Player and second baseman, play with the St. Louis Cardinals.
