Carolyn Glass, MD, PhD, was invited to visit with PhD students, post-doctorate and clinical fellows from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital during a two-day visit on April 28-29, 2022, to Boston. Faisal Mahmood, PhD, who is a national leader in the computational pathology, hosted the event.
As part of a continuing collaborative research initiative, she discussed ongoing translational research projects centered on the use of computational algorithms for the discovery of predictive biomarkers in both oncology and transplantation, for which she will continue to serve as mentor.
Glass, who serves as Co-Director of the Duke Division of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Pathology, particularly enjoyed the seafood from Boston, an aspect she misses from her pathology training days in New England!
