Professor of Pathology and Residency Program Director Thomas J. Cummings, MD, served as host and moderator for the Association of Pathology Chairs Residency Program Directors Section Council (APC PRODS) Spring Virtual Meeting on April 3rd, 2024, which had 140 attendees. Topics included updates from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Board of Pathology (ABP), and a presentation about a unified timeline for offering interviews to residency applicants.
In July 2023, Cummings was selected to serve as vice chair of APC PRODS for the 2023-2024 academic year at the APC Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL. APC PRODS provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, makes recommendations concerning rules governing content and management of resident training to the Residency Review Committee and American Board of Pathology, and participates in programs that facilitate the continued development and enhancement of Pathology training programs.
