A Welcome to Our New Faculty

new faculty members in the Department of Pathology, Carolyn Glass, MD PhD, and John Carney, MD.

We are proud to announce the arrival of two new faculty members in the Department of Pathology, Carolyn Glass, MD PhD,  and John Carney, MD.

Dr. Glass obtained her MD at the UT Medical Branch and then trained in vascular surgery at the University of Rochester.   After earning a Ph.D. (also at the University of Rochester), she completed a residency in pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.   She subsequently did a fellowship in cardiovascular and pulmonary pathology at the Brigham, followed by a thoracic and transplant fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas.   We are very excited to have Dr. Glass join us as an assistant professor; her responsibilities will include cardiac and thoracic signouts along with autopsies.

Dr. Carney graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine and then came to Duke for pathology residency, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary pathology.   We are very pleased that Dr. Carney will be staying with us; he will be joining us as an assistant professor, and similarly will have responsibilities in cardiac and thoracic pathology along with autopsies.

We are pleased to welcome these two outstanding new faculty to our department!
