Pavlisko New Director for Image Cytometry Laboratory

Elizabeth Pavlisko MD takes role of Director for the Image Cytometry Laboratory

At the beginning of this year, Elizabeth Pavlisko MD took on the role of Director for the Image Cytometry Laboratory.  Dr. Pavlisko trained in pathology as an AP/CP resident at Duke.  She then went on to do a pulmonary fellowship in our department and finally joined our faculty 7 years ago.  Since joining the faculty, Dr. Pavlisko has established herself as an expert in neoplastic and non-neoplastic lung pathology.  She has worked closely with the Image Cytometry laboratory over the years as a clinical champion in the development of several predictive biomarkers routinely used in the care of our lung cancer patients.  Dr. Pavlisko is an accomplished laboratory director, serving as the Assistant Director of the Immunopathology laboratory for the past 3 years.  She is taking on the leadership of the Image Cytometry Laboratory at an exciting time as it becomes the center of our initial digital pathology efforts at Duke.  Although this announcement is a bit over due, I hope that you will join me in welcoming Elizabeth to this new role!
