Pathologists’ Assistant Class of 2019 at Commencement

The Duke Pathologists’ Assistant Program Class of 2019 were recognized for completion of 86 credits in pursuit of their Master of Health Science degree, which will be conferred in September 2019, at the Duke University Graduation on Sunday, May 12, 2019. The students were the guests of honor at a luncheon held at the home of the Associate Program Director, Ms. Pamela Vollmer, and her husband Dr. Robin Vollmer, with faculty, friends, and family in attendance.  Dr. Rex Bentley, PA Program Director, and Dr. David Howell, Pathology Department Senior Vice Chair, gave opening remarks and provided the welcoming address, and Dr. Vollmer presented the commencement address.

Please join us in congratulating a very fine group of students:  Carrie Beard, Matthew Bovender, Jonathan Chen, Chandler Haun, Maetchen MacLeod, Madeleine Shade, Thuy Van, and Micayla Zynda

The students will continue with clinical practical rotations, complete their training and receive certification to sit for the ASCP Board of Registry Exam, culminating with the Senior Seminars on July 18, 2019.
