Parrilla Selected Fellow for the 2017 Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP)

Dr. Edgardo Parrilla

Dr. Edgardo Parrilla was chosen from a select group of talented mid-level clinical faculty who show extraordinary promise for future leadership roles at Duke.  Focusing his career on the rapidly-evolving field of oncologic molecular genetics, Dr. Parrilla is the Associate Medical Director of Duke’s Clinical Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, where he hopes to leverage the program’s leadership skills.  The Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP) is administered by the Office of the Chancellor and extends over a six-month period, during which time fellows are expected to attend six full-day sessions.  Twenty-four selectees will join the ranks of one-hundred and forty-nine fellows who have already completed the DCLP during its first six years.  Following his MD PhD degree, Dr. Parrilla completed Anatomic Pathology residency at the National Institutes of Health, and fellowships in Selective Surgical Pathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology at Mayo Clinic, prior to joining Duke.
