Parrilla Completes 2017 Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP)

Edgardo Parrilla, MD PhD, is the most recent Department of Pathology graduate of the Chancellor’s Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP).  Over the six-month period of the program, Dr. Parrilla honed skills in leadership to apply in Pathology, and worked with a group to piece together an infrastructure for a Duke Health System-wide response to high-risk pathogens.  Twenty-four candidates now join the ranks of 149 fellows who have completed the DCLP during its first six years.  Following his MD Ph.D degree, Dr. Parrilla completed Anatomic Pathology residency at the National Institutes of Health, and fellowships in Selective Surgical Pathology and in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Mayo Clinic prior to joining Duke.
