McCall Contributes to 4th Edition of ISBER Best Practices

Shannon McCall, MD was an invited contributor to the 4th edition of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories’ (ISBER) Best Practices, published on January 31, 2018 and available at www.isber.org.  Dr. McCall’s specific areas of contribution included legal/ethical issues, tissue specimen collection, and quality management.  Dr. McCall is currently the Director of the Duke Biorepository & Precision Pathology Center, a shared resource of the Duke University School of Medicine and the Duke Cancer Institute, which provides general blood/tissue biobanking and clinical trial support services to hundreds of research protocols.  Dr. McCall also serves as Vice-chair of the College of American Pathologists’ (CAP) Biorepository Accreditation Program Committee.
