Leadership Transition for Autopsy Service

Leadership Transition for Autopsy Service

After many years at Duke as a clinical neuropathologist, educator, mentor, national leader in neurodegenerative research, and, most recently, the Director of our Autopsy services , Dr. Christine Hulette has announced that she will retire at the end of June, 2019. We would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her outstanding contributions over a very long career at Duke.

We are very pleased that Dr. Michael Datto has agreed to serve as Interim Director and Dr. Caroline Glass will serve as Associate Director of Autopsy Services.  This change will go into effect today, in advance of Dr. Hulette’s retirement from clinical service. Dr. Kathy Grant, the operations director of AP and Meridith Hennessey, the manager of autopsy services, will remain in their current roles to provide for a smooth transition and continued success for this important service moving forward.

Please join me in thanking Dr. Hulette and in congratulating Drs. Datto and Glass for their new leadership roles.
