López Receives 3-Year KL2 Award

Giselle López, MD PhD is one of three recipients of the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute KL2 Award, which will allow her to pursue studies on hypercellular nodules in the oligodendroglioma tumor microenvironment, and their impact on prognosis. This mentored career development award provides three years of support for Dr. López's research on brain tumors, as well as mentoring and career development through both tailored didactic courses and a team science and health disparities curriculum. Dr. David Ashley (Department of Neurosurgery), Dr. Roger McLendon (Department of Pathology), and Dr. Simon Gregory (Department of Neurology) serve as co-mentors for Dr. López's project.
