Hulette is New Director of Neuropathology Fellowship Program

After 20 years as Director of the Neuropathology Fellowship training program, Dr. Roger McLendon has decided to step down in order to devote more time to his duties as Chief of Neuropathology and Director of Surgical Pathology.   I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Christine Hulette has agreed to assume the Directorship of the training program.  Dr. Hulette, who completed her Fellowship in Neuropathology here at Duke, joined the faculty in 1991 and has risen through the ranks until her promotion to full professor with tenure in 2006. In her early years at Duke she developed an international reputation in neurodegenerative disease and tissue banking. Her research has been supported by the National Institute on Aging, the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and by the National Institute of Mental Health. More recently she has served as Pathology Course Director for Duke University School of Medicine. She is an avid educator, neuropathologist and scientist who brings years of multifaceted experience to the job.

Please join me in thanking Dr. McLendon for his many years of outstanding service in this area and congratulating Dr. Hulette in her new role.
