Guy Promoted to Full Professor

Cynthia Guy, MD

Please join me in congratulating Cynthia Guy, MD on her promotion to Full Professor.

Dr. Guy returned to Duke in 2003 following completion of a Duke Cytopathology fellowship and a brief time in private practice. Soon thereafter she began longstanding and productive interdisciplinary, clinical, and translational collaborations with Dr. Anna Mae Diehl in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology. In 2006 she became the section chief for Duke GI and Liver Surgical Pathology and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. She has gained a national and international reputation for her research in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis pathobiology. Other research interests include hepatocarcinogenesis. Dr. Guy has over 95 peer-reviewed publications. As an avid cyclist, her leisure time is filled with many two-wheeled adventures.
