de Ridder Appointed to 2-Year Term on CAP Transfusion Medicine Resource Committee

Congratulations to Gustaaf de Ridder, MD, PhD, who was recently appointed to serve from 2017-2019 as the junior member on the  College of American Pathologists' Transfusion Medicine Resource Committee. This committee is primarily charged with fostering excellence in the practice and technology of Transfusion Medicine, advocacy for patients and physicians, and oversight of CAP proficiency testing and regulation in Transfusion Medicine. Dr. de Ridder is currently a PGY3 AP/CP resident and is one of the 2016-2017 Chief Residents. He will begin Transfusion Medicine fellowship training in 2017 in Seattle at Bloodworks Northwest (formerly Puget Sound Blood Center).
