Cummings Hosts VZS at Duke

Thomas J. Cummings MD, Professor of Pathology and Professor of Ophthalmology, hosted the Verhoeff-Zimmerman Ophthalmic Pathology Society annual meeting April 4-6, 2019 at The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. The VZS was founded in 1946 and is one of the oldest subspecialty groups in Ophthalmology. The society continues to thrive and to advance the field of Ophthalmic Pathology. The distinguished international guest of honor from the European Ophthalmic Pathology Society was Peter Meyer MD, from Basel, Switzerland. Dr. Cummings has been a VZS member since 2002, and says, “It is a great privilege to continue the VZS spirit and tradition and to have Duke Pathology host this event.”
