Cardona Receives CAP Public Service Award

Cardona was awarded CAP Public Service Award

Dr. Diana M. Cardona was awarded the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Public Service Award at their annual meeting held this year in Las Vegas, NV on September 24th – 28th. This award was established in 1989 in honor of Frank C. Coleman, the sixth president of the CAP. “The award is given to a CAP fellow who best exemplifies the political, citizenship and leadership qualities of the late Dr. Coleman; it is the CAP’s highest honor for outstanding accomplishments and dedication to political and civic life and to public service in the US. The CAP presents this award when merited, not necessarily on an annual basis.” The honor was presented to Dr. Cardona in recognition of “her tireless work in leading the way for pathologists to participate in the evolving payment paradigms.”
