Bernard F. Fetter Teaching Award

Bernard F. Fetter Teaching Award

The plaque reads:
"In honor of this skillful pathologist and master teacher, the pathology residents recognize that faculty member whose skills, knowledge, and attitudes have been most influential in their education."

Dr. Thomas J. Cummings was awarded this honor for 2017. The Fetter Teaching Award is given to recognize outstanding teaching efforts by a Pathology faculty member(s) who through his or her commitment to resident education has made the most substantial contribution to the residents' development as pathologists and physicians. This award recognizes specifically the individual who has made the strongest efforts to teach. The recipient receives a plaque and has his or her name inscribed on the perpetual plaque located on the 2nd floor across from the chief resident wall.

The 2016 recipient was also Dr. Thomas J. Cummings.
